Shun On Electronic CO., LTD., a car electronics manufacturer with advanced technology for in car lenses, has obtained the ASPICE CL2 certification from the German certification body DEKRA. This marks the second time that it has obtained the highest level of functional safety process certification from ISO 26262 ASILD at the beginning of this year (2024), and has once again obtained the international standard for the global automotive industry within one year. It fully demonstrates the research and quality control capabilities of automotive software, hardware, and system development processes, and has become an internationally competitive manufacturer of AI image integration systems for cars under the IS026262 standard compatibility merger, meeting the strict quality and specification requirements of enterprise customers' OEMs.

Automotive SPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination, ASPICE, abbreviated as ASPICE, is an important standard widely adopted in the global automotive industry, aimed at evaluating and improving the process capability and quality of automotive software, hardware, and system development. Currently, more and more car manufacturers and suppliers use ASPICE as an evaluation criterion for the R&D capabilities of software and hardware development teams, which is one of the key thresholds for enterprises to enter the automotive manufacturer supply chain.
This project is jointly led by Chun'an Electronics and its subsidiary (Jiaxing Chunmin Electronics), and executed in collaboration with Minshi Group; Successfully passed Automotive SPICE according to the ASPICE evaluation framework ® (ASPICE) 3.1 version certification. Since its release in 2017, this version has become a widely adopted software and hardware development standard in the current automotive industry. It not only imposes strict requirements on product safety, reliability, and operational efficiency, but also emphasizes the standardization and normalization of software and hardware development processes. Through this certification, it not only proves that Chun'an Electronics' software and hardware development process for automotive AI image integration system products has reached internationally recognized professional standards, but also significantly enhances Chun'an Electronics' competitive advantage in the global automotive industry's autonomous driving market.

At the certification ceremony, Chen Kuanneng, General Manager of Jiaxing Chunmin Electronics, stated that Chun'an Group is facing a profound structural transformation in the global automotive industry chain under the intertwined changes of electrification transformation, autonomous driving technology, smart connected vehicles, the rise of sharing economy, environmental regulations and sustainable development. ASPICE and Minshi Group, one of the top 100 automotive parts companies in the world, jointly executed this project and were awarded certification simultaneously. With the rapid progress of technology, changes in consumer demand, and adjustments in policy environment, ASPICE CL2 certification has been obtained. Chun'an Group is moving towards the development of blockchain layout in the micro electric vehicle industry. In the future, by combining their respective expertise fields to accelerate the development process, innovative products will be brought to the market faster, forming a more core competitive ability with associated value, and will also greatly help attract more customers and market share.
DEKRA Li Junyi, Managing Director of DeKai Taiwan, stated that Taiwanese automotive electronic component manufacturers have strong technological advantages in research and development as well as manufacturing within the traditional global manufacturing supply chain. However, if they want to enter the automotive electronics market, they must pay attention to the strict quality and safety requirements of international Tier 1 and automotive manufacturers for suppliers. Therefore, whether it is software, hardware, or even software and hardware integration, if we can follow international standards such as APICE that focuses on development processes, ISO 26262 that emphasizes functional safety, and ISO/SAE 21434 that emphasizes automotive network security, to strengthen our own enterprise's requirements for system security, in addition to significantly improving the efficiency of passing international certification standards, we can also win business opportunities faster than our competitors in the international automotive market.
