Osan, Korea — September 1, 2025 — Leroad today announced the official establishment of its wholly owned subsidiary,
Leroad Korea, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion. Together with its strategic partners, Leroad has also established an
assembly and after-sales center in Cheongju, further deepening its presence in the Korean market. Former Yamaha Sales Director
Jungwoon Kim has officially joined Leroad as the head of Leroad Korea.
This marks Leroad’s 22nd overseas market. Entering Korea through a local branch model not only demonstrates the company’s strong confidence in the market’s potential but also signifies that Leroad’s globalization strategy has entered a
new phase of development.
Korea: A Market Full of Potential, in Strong Alignment with Leroad’s Strategy
As the world’s eighth-largest golf market, Korea has over 700 golf courses, with annual demand for more than 3,500 golf carts.
The local market is known for its high standards of product performance and quality, as well as strict market entry thresholds.
At the same time, the Korean government actively promotes the miniaturization and electrification of transportation, leading to a steady rise in demand for utility vehicles and sightseeing carts — a perfect fit with Leroad’s product strategy.
Early Successes: Growing Market Recognition
Since its inception, the Leroad Korea team has made rapid progress and achieved remarkable milestones:
• L2 model has received confirmed orders and will soon be deployed at high-end golf courses such as Ocean Hill.
• L4 model has been selected as the official vehicle for APEC 2025, providing mobility services for heads of state from countries including China, the United States, and Korea.
• U2, U4, and L14 models have been featured through leasing programs at major events such as the Gyeryong Military Culture Festival, Incheon Korea Night Tour, and Cheongwon Life Festival, earning strong recognition from both clients and the market.
Looking Ahead: Localization and Continuous Innovation
Looking forward to 2026, Leroad Korea will launch the F-Series semi-autonomous guided vehicles, further aligning with the needs of the Korean market and enhancing brand influence. The company will continue to strengthen its presence through:
• Accelerating team building
• Expanding the after-sales service network
• Growing its local partnership ecosystem
These initiatives aim to continuously improve service capabilities and comprehensively support the sustainable development of customers in Korea.
